James Connell Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Connell (Independence, Iowa), born in Anamosa, Iowa, who passed away on September 19, 2019, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert J. Connell and Wilma E. Connell (Coyne); his sisters, Mary Ellen Walton and Collen O'Connell; and his brothers-in-law, Steve Passage and Jose Palacios.

He is survived by: his wife Karen Connell; his children, Michael Connell (Ava) of Decorah, IA, Patrick Connell (Anna), David Connell (Kristen), Kathleen Hettinger (Rockford), Dianne Davis (Carl "Chip") and Krista James; his stepdaughters, Lynn Estes (Robert) of Independence, IA and Jennifer Burco; his sister Elizabeth Passage of Stockton, CA; and his daughter Ashley Cooper. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, nine step grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren with one on the way, eight step great grandchildren.
