She is survived by: her former husband Phillip J. Smith III; her husband Raymond Kirby of Independence, IA; her daughter Michelle Osterhaus (John); her stepdaughters, Tracy Kirby, Ipswich, England and Tanya Kirby; her siblings, Roseann Thoma (Ted) of Jesup, IA and Danny Kurt (Peggy) of Bridgeport, NE; and her sister-in-law Mary Kurt of Independence, IA. She is also survived by four grandchildren, six great grandchildren.
