She was predeceased by: her parents, Leroy E. and Lena Higgins (Martin); her husband Ross Platt; and her siblings, John Higgins, James Higgins, Richard Higgins, Arnold Higgins and Deloris M. "Sally" Murphy.
She is survived by: her daughters, Susan Klaas of Austin, TX, Cindy Hanlon and Casa; her grandchildren, Andrea Malloy (Ryan), Natalie Klaas, Casey Hanlon-Duvall and Cody Hanlon; her great grandchildren, Conner Evans and Cora Malloy; and her sister Nancy Hoffman of Independence, IA.
