It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betsy Scheer of Independence, Iowa, born in Cresco, Iowa, who passed away on July 29, 2020, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her daughter Melinda Fretheim. She is survived by: her parents, Stanley Fretheim and Delores Fretheim (Qualley) of Ridgeway, IA; her former husband Terry Scheer of Independence, IA; her sons, Jesse Scheer (Emily) of Shellsburg, IA and Cody Scheer (Amy); her stepdaughter Heather Wildoner (Jesse) of Milsap, TX; her grandchildren, Ezra, Rowan Scheer, Linzie Sebastian and Benjamin Swift; her stepgrandchildren, Joshua Ornelas and Maddison Armstead; and her siblings, Lori Kreiner (Gary) of Cresco, IA, Julie Fretheim, Michael Fretheim (Darla) of Burnsville, MN and Mark Anderson (Marie).
