He is survived by: his children, Heather Conover (Clint) of Ida Grove, IA and Jamey Fraser of Florida; his grandchildren, Christian (Melissa), Alexia (Brandon), Grant and Ty; his great grandchild Lincoln; his siblings, Tina Stone (Ron) of Sioux City, IA, Wrenn Leander (Ron), Monica Stinger (Craig) of Sioux Falls, SD, Clint "Peanut" Leighty, Cliff Leighty (Mihui) and Ken Leighty (Shannon) of Nevada, IA; and his cousin Marvin Castle of Sioux City, IA.
