He was predeceased by: his parents, Antone Schoba and Anne Schoba (Kramer); his former wives, Betty Lou Dammann and Betty Schoba; his daughter Amy Burcham; his grandchildren, Rebecca "Becca" Cedeno, Joseph Landon and Joseph Hopkins; his great grandchild Addy Hicks; his siblings, Marty Selby, Jerry Schoba and Jake Schoba; and his brothers-in-law, Jim Wentland and Les Shelby.

He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Schoba; his children, William Schoba (Candy), Karen McClelland (Dan), Scott Schoba (Michelle), Jenniffer Hopkins (Shannon), Susan Henkelman (Bill) and Gary Kron, Jr. (Tara); his sister Pat Wentland; and his siblings-in-law, La Vern Schoba, Don Rath (Deb) and Dean Rath (Julie). He is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
