He is survived by: his former wife Pamela Jean Trail; his wife Pam of Holstein, IA; his children, Kristen Mott (Jason) of Peoria, IL, Brett Carpenter (Kristy) of Council Bluffs, IA and Scott Carpenter (Belinda) of Ankeny, IA; his grandchildren, Amari, Sofia (Camille Carpenter), Carter (Kellen Mott) and Maxwell Carpenter; his siblings, Ronald Carpenter (Kathy) of Newton, IA, Robert Carpenter (Susan) of El Dorado, KS, Lorna Davros of Des Moines, IA and Lisa Carpenter of Des Moines, IA; his sisters-in-law, Gail Trail of Maxwell, IA and Machelle Trail of Des Moines, IA; and his pets, Gilda and Dolly. He is also survived by many pets, friends and extended family.
