He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Volkert and Ina Volkert (Dreeszen); and his parents-in-law, Eugene and Ella Heeney. He is survived by: his wife Janet Heeney; his daughters, Audra O'Neill (Sean) of Wall Lake, IA and Ashley Trost (Mitch) of Holstein, IA; his grandchildren, Breanne O'Neill, Griffin O'Neill, Clayton Trost and Maxwell Trost; and his siblings, Lane Volkert (Lori) of Holstein, IA and Larane Campbell (Larry) of Chino Valley, AZ. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
