He is survived by: his close friend Scott Albers; his sons, Michael Butcher (Jenny) of Ames and Ian Butcher (Amy) of Des Moines, Iowa; his daughter-in-law Ashley Butcher; his stepson Tony; his brother Donald Butcher of LeMars, Iowa; and his grandchildren, Ethan Butcher, Logan Butcher, Annie, Drew and Beau Peterson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and close friends.
