He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Johnson and Irene Johnson (Kollbaum); his son Stuart Dean; his wife Patricia Miller; and his siblings, Diane Schmidt and Ron Johnson.
He is survived by: his daughter Sonja Jean of Sioux City, IA; his siblings, Larry (Audrey) of Holstein, IA and Jan (LeRoy Jacobson) of Mapleton, IA; and his in-laws, Mary Johnson of Ida Grove, Duane, Tillie Staedtler of Holstein, IA and William Snyder of Fargo, ND. He is also survived by aunt, uncles, nieces and nephews.
