He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Zeglier Mayes and Carrie Bell Mayes (Pelote); his grandparents, Lester and Rosa Morrell; his brother Bobby Young; his daughter Teshia Crockett (Bernard Sr.); his siblings, Phillip Young (Catherine), Carol Hunter (Richard), Theopolis Young, Berneather Hamilton and Lesley Cooley (Freddie); his grandchildren, Chutaia Brown, Darrion, Bernard, Jr and Montez Crockett; his great grandchildren, TaiJae, Tymiere Crawford, TyAire Mayes and Kinston Crockett; and his stepchildren, Shawna, LeLanie, Tiffany Burkett, Teddy and Rico Burkett. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, step grandchildren and friends.
