He was predeceased by: his parents, LeRoy Shirk and Pearl Shirk (Wallace); his wife Sandra Jean Hanson; and his brothers, Walt Shirk (Sue), Bob Shirk (Bev) and Charles Shirk.
He is survived by: his sons, Charlie Shirk (Sarah) of Hampton and Chris Shirk of Burlington; his grandchildren, Taylin, Triston, Reece, Dalton, Trinity, Alyssa, Camden, Olivia, Wesley and Sienna Shirk; his girlfriend Phyllis Sargent of Hampton; and his brothers, Gale Shirk (Marilyn) of Tuscan, Arizona and Lynn Shirk (Bobbi) of Spring Branch, Texas..
