She was predeceased by: her parents, Gail Duncan and Lelah Duncan (McLaughlin); her husband Don Shearer; and her siblings, Billy and NorMae.
She is survived by: her children, Gaylin Duryee (Vernon) of Newton, Lonie Shearer (Deb) of Grinnell and Rick Shearer (Pat) of Grinnell; and her grandchildren, Shana, Cory, Lee, Amy and Monique. She is also survived by her eight great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She and Don also did a lot of charity work for Camp Sunny Side – always on a motorcycle.
