He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Kathryn E. Ivanov; his parents, Eva Thompson (Sanders) and John W. Thompson; his children, Karen Schmidt of Grinnell, Timothy Thompson of Johnston, Patricia Gosselink of Grinnell, Barbara McCulley of Grinnell and Mary Thompson of Del Mar, California; and his children-in-law, John McCulley of Grinnell, Joseph Azzinaro of Del Mar, CA and Diane Thompson of Johnston. He was also cherished by 10 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
