She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles W. Fischer and Edna Fischer (Alderfer); her husband Edward Earl Francis; and her siblings, Charles W. Fischer, Jr. and Frances Michael (Fischer).
She is survived by: her sons, Charles Paul Francis (Gail) of Geneva, IL, Scott Ellsworth Francis (Irene Somyk) of Baltimore and Clayton Alderfer Francis (Ann Ellis) of Grinnell, Iowa; and her grandchildren, Brianna R. Francis of Denver, Sarah W. Francis of Minneapolis and Benjamin E. Francis of St. Paul, Minnesota..
She devoted her volunteer hours to the Alzheimer's foundation and to tirelessly working for women's reproductive rights.
