He was predeceased by: his mother Marian Elizabeth Herr (Umbaugh); and his nieces, Kelly Kay Bachhuber and Sara Elizabeth McKibban. He is survived by: his father Walter Paul (Virginia Herr); his wife Virginia Mary Edson; his daughters, Rachel Mary (Kelly) of Fontanelle, Susan Elizabeth (Dillon) of Stuart and Alyse Dreher (Daniel) of Adair; his sisters, Barbara McKibban (Steve) of Greenfield, Paula Bachhuber (Jack) of Urbandale and Marcia Plett (John) of Gladbrook; his grandchildren, Alexis, James Dreher of Adair, Dean and Mary Hall of Fontanelle; his parents-in-law, Vearl and Mary Edson; and his siblings-in-law, Janet Wendland (Walter), Patricia Seamans (Lawrnie), Suzette Kies (Phillip), Ruth Litchfield (Kevin) and Charles Edson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
