He is survived by: his wife Joan Thompson of Greenfield; his children, Bob Shatava (Janelle) of Marshalltown, Tom Shatava (Lorraine) of Grimes, Becky Wallace (Ted) of Greenfield, Steve Thompson (Pam) of Greenfield and Pat Shatava of Clarinda; and his siblings, Gene "Pat" Thompson of Fontanelle and Diana Thompson of Greenfield. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
