She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Hardin and Ruby Hardin (Adamson); her husband Marion Mitchell; her son James Mitchell; her brothers, Ron and Bob Hardin; and her stepmother Irene Hardin.
She is survived by: her children, Cynthia, Cyndi Lorenzen (Monte) of Green Valley, AZ, Chandra McCann (Ron) of Greenfield and Jeffrey Mitchell (Kelly) of Greenfield; her daughter-in-law Denna Mitchell of Greenfield; her sisters, Sharon Stewart (Marvin) of Bondurant and Linda Griffith (Dean) of Bridgewater; and her sisters-in-law, Rowena Hardin of Greenfield and Beverly Hardin of Earlville, Illinois. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren, numerous other extended family and friends.
Memorials: May be directed to Cystic Fibrosis or to the Barbara Mitchell Memorial Fund to be established by the family at a later date.
