He is survived by: his former wife Sylvia Stout; his wife Luella Fry of Grandview; his daughter Cathy Gethmann (Cornell); his stepchildren, Shirley McKinney (Steve) of Blythewood, SC and Michael Angelo (Annette) of Syracuse, NE; his granddaughter Cara Gethmann; his stepgrandchildren, Heather McKinney, Jessica McKinney, Brian McKinney, Katie McKinney and Molly Wise; his grandchild Stephenee Schwandke; and his sister Louise Blasi Walters of Pensacola, FL.

A memorial has been established for the family in Dale's name.
