He is survived by: his wife Emercia; his children, Scott Fortune (Ellen) of Waterloo and Keely Anderson (Tom) of Dakota Dunes, SD; and his siblings, Marvin Fortune of Otho and Mary Maharas of Dayton. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
