He was predeceased by: his wife Elsie Lindner; his stepmother Marjorie Lindner; his brothers, Richard Lindner and Carl Lindner; his brother-in-law Gene Martens; and also Mark Lindner.
He is survived by: his sons, Bruce Lindner of Clarion, Jay Lindner (Karen) of Fremont and Dana Lindner (Paula) of Fort Dodge; his daughter-in-law Mary Jane Lindner of Waukee; his grandchildren, Thomas Lindner (Allie), Daniel Lindner (Aubrie), Sarah Underwood (Blair), Emily Koch (Paul), David Lindner and Patrick Lindner; his great grandchildren, Logan Lindner and Clara Lindner; his siblings, Pat Easter of Royalton and Bill Lindner of Rice; his sister-in-law Carol Martens of Fort Dodge; and his parents, Roy Lindner and Bernice Lindner (McGough).
