Fern Ethlyn Midtgaard Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Fern Ethlyn Midtgaard (Forest City, Iowa), who passed away on February 25, 2023, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Enos Seglem (Enos) and Ella Seglem (Kingland); her husband Arden Harris Midtgaard; her siblings, Vernon Seglem and Audrey O'Leary (Seglem); and her son-in-law Russell Schubert.
She is survived by: her children, Cindy Schubert of Britt, Arlyn Midtgaard (Lila) of Fertile, Connie Hallam (Mark) of Mankato and Vicky Vogl (Larry) of Cedar Rapids; and her brother Jim Seglem (Barb) of Fertile. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, and 25 great grandchildren.
In lieu, of flowers, memorials may be directed to Fertile Lutheran Church, Hospice of North Iowa, or Elim Lutheran Cemetery.
