She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil Hoel and Helena "Helen" Hoel (Meyer); her son Dennis; her grandson Nicholas Watson; her great grandchildren, Addison and Aubrey Lentz; and her siblings-in-law, Sharon Hoel and Allen Teepe.
She is survived by: her husband Clayton Johnson of Floyd; her children, Jacqueline, Jacquie Watson (Dave) of Charles City, Mike Johnson (Connie) of Greene, Darcie Regan of Floyd, Karla Byrd (Mike) of Sterling and Kevin Johnson (Beth) of Medway, Massachusetts; and her siblings, Marvlyn Teepe of Charles City, Edwin Hoel (Sherry) of Ohio and Roger Hoel (Linda) of Coralville. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
