She was predeceased by: her parents, Cornelius Verdoorn and Grace Verdoorn (Zylstra); and her siblings, Jack, Joey Verdoorn, Elsie Reinke (Alvin) and Pearl Baerenwald (Lawrence).
She is survived by: her husband Darrell Shoemaker; her children, Slade of Fairfield, IA, Drew (Rindi) of Springfield, Kent of Phoenix and Sheila Pool (Steve) of Fairfield; her grandchildren, Danen Pool (Danielle) of Ames, Elise Shoemaker of Bolivar, Kyle Shoemaker (Kellsi) of Bolivar and Christy Shoemaker of Bolivar; and her great grandchildren, Layla Pool of Ames, Jamison Shoemaker and Brienne Shoemaker of Bolivar Missouri.
