It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jean Zehr of Fairfield, Iowa, who passed away on December 2, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Jean Zehr to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, J. Mace Payton and Mabel Payton (Mayne); and her sister Barbara Sparks. She is survived by: her husband Cecil A. Zehr; her children, Deborah Danaher (Patrick) of Tulsa, Randy Zehr of Fairfield and Dana Nash (Todd) of Iowa City; her brother James Payton of Cedar Rapids; and her grandsons, Ryan Danaher, Wade Nash and Eric Nash.
Due to Covid 19 restrictions, a celebration of life service will be held at a later date with inurnment in Evergreen Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge in Iowa City or the First United Methodist Church in Fairfield.
