She was predeceased by: her parents, Will Bekel and Lena Bekel (Pohren); her husbands, Leonard Smith and Rollie Zihlman; and her siblings, Lloyd Bekel, Harry Bekel and Edith Baldosier. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
