He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Dale" and Sarah "Lucille" Lyons (Cornell); and his siblings, Thelma Duker, Betty Gray and Richard Lyons.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Lyons of Fairfield; his children, Cathie Wise of Rockwell City, IA, Tim Lyons of Rockwell City, IA, Julie Lynch (Mike) of Rockwell City, IA, Todd Lyons (Anita) of Rockwell City, IA, Cyndie Whiting (Bryon) of Spirit Lake, Barry Lyons of New London, Sarah Dement (Scott) of Olathe, KS, Troy Lyons (Angela) of Riverside, IA and Anna Lyons-Nace (Adam) of Williamsburg, IA; and his grandchildren, April, Jennifer, Nicole, Dustin, Trice, Mandy, Brandon, Jamie, Emma, Ashly, Michael, Zach, Brooke, Ally, Sadie, Isaac, Silas, Madeline, William and Henry. He is also survived by 26 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
