Bernice Ames Gleason Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bernice Ames Gleason (Fairfield, Iowa), who passed away on April 1, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Ames and Ruth Ames (Jones); her husband Merle Gleason; her children, Donald Lee, Dwight Leon Gleason and Connie Hackler; and her siblings, Irene Catlett, Alice Hopper, Harry Ames and Marie Walker.
She is survived by: her son-in-law Greg Hackler of Winslow, AZ; her grandchildren, Kris (Diana Hackler) and Beth (Drew Davis); her great grandchildren, Cielo, Jett Hackler and Hayes Davis; and her niece Sharon Mahaffey (John) of Kirkville, Iowa. She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Mahaska Health Foundation for the Hospice Serenity House.
