With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Arden Messer (Fairfield, Iowa), born in Hillsboro, Iowa, who passed away on January 3, 2021 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lyzell Messer and Ruby Messer (McNeely); his wife Marilyn Meloan of Fairfield; his son Eagle Scouts; his siblings, Bob Messer (Sharon) of Mt. Pleasant and Ruth Ann Snavely (Harvey) of Mt. Pleasant; his children, Shawn Messer of North Liberty, Megan Ward (Tony) of High Ridge, MO, Barton Messer (Mary) of Columbia, MO and Bradley Messer of Fairfield; and his grandson Brandon Gray (Stacy). He was also cherished by many step grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
In Lieu of Flowers memorials can be made to the First United Methodist Church, Fairfield Lion's Club, or Lake Darling Youth Center.
