He is survived by: his friend Dr. Roger King; his children, Richard Joachims of Graettinger and Jolene Stoulil (Chuck) of Spirit Lake; his son-in-law Mark Yackle of Wallingford; and his siblings, Gene Joachims, Jim Joachims, Margaret Smida and Marilyn Block (Elmer).
