He was predeceased by: his parents, Danish and Krestine Nielsen (Flint); his grandson Nicholas Tirevold; his mother-in-law Flossie Jensen; his siblings, Rose Nielsen, Linda Peterson and Thor Nielsen; and his siblings-in-law, Melvin Nielsen and Helen Nielsen.
He is survived by: his wife Effie June Jensen; his children, Coleen Lundgren (Dean) of Estherville, Kathleen Tirevold of Estherville and Roger Nielsen (Karmen) of Fairmont; his grandchildren, Jeff Lundgren (Michelle), Mike Lundgren, Steve Lundgren, Kelly Strenge (Brett), Brad Tirevold (Alysha) and Randy Nielsen; his great grandchildren, Madison, Brenden, Keegen, Dillon, Danica, Delaney, Braeden, Julia and Stella; and his brother-in-law Nordein Peterson.
