He was predeceased by: his parents, Calvin "Blackie" Hancock and Margaret V. Hancock (Cooley); his brother Thomas Hancock; his parents-in-law, Earl J. and Rose Decker; his stepmother-in-law Carmelene Decker; his brothers-in-law, David Decker, Lawrence M. "Larry" Decker and Steve Bradley; his niece Rachel Decker; and his nephew Gabe Glasman.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Hancock of Epworth; his grandchildren, Calvin Hancock (Megan Hogan), Madalyn Bergfeld-Hancock, Emma Wink and Owen Boge; his great grandchild Raelynn Grace; his daughters, Donna Gulyash, Kim Simon and Erin Shanahan; his parents-in-law, Coleen Hancock of Epworth, Debi O'Brien of Dubuque, Pearl Shanahan (David) of Bernard, Margie Gassman (Ron "Zip") of Bernard, Jay Decker (Marlene) of Bernard and Lynn Decker of Bernard; and his uncle Jack Hancock (Aunt Gayle).
