He was predeceased by: his parents, Gregor Vaske and Clothilda Vaske (Koopman); his brothers-in-law, Barney Langel, Allen Elgin, Jerry Elgin and Ray Childers; and his granddaughter Peyton.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Alice (Elgin); his children, Steven, Barbara, Duane, Glenn and Jason; his siblings, William, Helen Langel (Barney), Dorothy Nurre (Kenneth), Richard (Patricia), James (Beverly) and Martin (Joan); and his parents-in-law, JoAnn Childers (Wray), Joyce Neumann (Silvius), Dan (Grace), Margie Krawczuk (Wally), Betty (Allen) and Andrea Klaren (Bill). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren.
