He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Kooker and Rachael Kooker (McKinney); his son Paul Kooker; his wife Dorothy Kooker; his great grandchild Christian Strohman; his son-in-law Marvin Ostwald; his siblings, Ivan, Delbert, Harley, Emory, Harlan Kooker, Dorothy Lenz, Stella Birkland, Mildred Roe, Nora Kooker and Hazel Blass; and his stepbrother Terry Hienan.
He is survived by: his daughters, Delores (Allen Hockett), Arlene Ostwald of Charles City, Janice (Gene Schany) and Shirley (Robert DePue); and his stepsister Barb Vaske of Algona, Iowa. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren.
