It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Martin (Emmetsburg, Iowa), born in Truro, Iowa, who passed away on February 22, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, A. J. Smith and Cecilia Daniel Smith; her husband Richard A. Martin; her daughter Mary Jo; her sister Jean Smith Gaertner; her niece Senta (Andy Plunkett); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Eleanor, Matthew and Brennan; and her godchildren, Chuck Needham, David Spies, Drew Lewis and Julie Wrage. She was also cherished by cousins and extended family.
