It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Verna Gaul Osf (Dubuque, Iowa), born in Granville, Iowa, who passed away on July 4, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Gaul and Sylvia Gaul (Fischbach); her stepmother Marie Gaul; her siblings, Gertrude Dekker, Joan Meaden (James), Ruth Block (Harry), Elinor Crawford (Loren), Angela Uhrich, Joanne Mahar, Mark Gaul and James Mahar; and her siblings-in-law, Cathy Gaul, Marshall Wilkes and Gene Nelson.
She is survived by: her siblings, Marjorie Childers (Bill), Rosemary Wilkes, Clare Pottebaum (Ivan), Katherine Hopkins (Gayl), Joseph Gaul, Peter Gaul (Barbara) and Theodore Gaul (Elaine); her brother-in-law Al Uhrich; and her nephew Franciscan.
Memorials may be given to the Sisters of St. Francis, Dubuque, IA.
