He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hochberger and Cecelia Hochberger; his brother John "Jack" Hochberger; and his siblings-in-law, Jim Hynes, Dick Hynes, Joe Gassman, John Moran, Mary Gassman, Betty Moran and Joan Hynes.
He is survived by: his sons, Scott Hochberger (Kathy Bakey) of Rickardsville, IA, Kevin Hochberger (Deb) of Shullsburg, WI and Brian Hochberger of Dubuque, IA; his grandchildren, Holli Hochberger, Tyler Hochberger (Heather Eastlick) and Justin Hochberger (Sara); his great grandchildren, Sophie and Claire Hochberger; his sisters-in-law, Janette Hochberger of Dubuque and Lorene Hynes of Dubuque; and his caregivers, Hillary, Jennie and Tom. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A memorial has been established for Hospice of Dubuque.
