Shirley Mae Meyer Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 19, 2022, Shirley Mae Meyer of Dubuque, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Schmal and Mary Schmal (Hengtes); her husband Arnie; and her siblings, Clarence, Raymond, Martin, Aloysius Schmal, Kathryn Neumann, Helen Berg and Marie Ruden.
She is survived by: her children, Daniel Meyer (Carol) of Cedar Rapids, Rod Meyer (Joan), Mary Sue Green (Pat), Dale Meyer (Nancy), Ed Meyer (Karen) of Hazel Green and Joan Knockel (Danny); her grandchildren, Ben, Matt, Nick, Alex Meyer, John Knockel, Adam Green, Katie White, Liz Rude, Ashley Hinzmann, Dana Hadley, Ellen Green, Terri Stephens, Kara, Danielle Knockel and Angelica; and her parents-in-law, Melvin, Emil Meyer, Dorothy Finzel and Irene Link. She is also survived by nineteen great grandchildren.
Shirley donated time and material for the Women's Layette's club making quilts, throws, and baby clothes for the needy.
