He is survived by: his wife Gloria Smith of Dubuque, IA; his children, Laura McDonald of Galena, IL, Robert McDonald (Heidi) of Dubuque, IA, Lisa Parr (Patrick Fortin) of Dubuque, IA, Alana Rapp (Marvin) of Dubuque, IA, Raechelle Ahmed (Ikhlas) of Galena, IL and Joseph McDonald (Angela Herting) of Dubuque, IA; and his brothers, Ronnie McDonald (Linda), Gary McDonald (Marilyn) and Randy McDonald.
