He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Schreiber and Emily Schreiber (Weirich); and his siblings, Mary Hanson (Bert), Marita Kreamer (Carl), Fred Schreiber (Patricia), Robert Schreiber (Jeanette) and Charles Schreiber (Mary Lou).
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Schenker; his children, Doug of Dubuque and Laura Dempsey (Steve) of Arizona; and his brothers-in-law, Tom and Jim (Mary). He is also survived by two granddaughters, two great grandsons.
