James Nicholas Speltz Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Nicholas Speltz of Dubuque, Iowa, born in Farley, Iowa, who passed away on May 19, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Speltz and Mary Agnes (McDermott); his sister Coletta Tigges; his brothers-in-law, Cletus Tigges, Earl Lampe, John Frommelt and Thomas Stender; and his nephew TJ Stender.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Speltz of Dubuque; his children, William Speltz (Julie) of Missoula, MT, Ann Gourley (Tim) of Dubuque and Timothy Speltz of Rockford, IL; his grandchildren, Christina Gourley of Dubuque, Mitch Speltz (Sarah) of Rockford, Samantha Speltz of Scottsdale, AZ, Brianna Verlanic (Tyler) of Missoula, MT, Josie Speltz of Chicago, IL, Joseph Gourley (Caroline) of San Diego, CA, Virginia Speltz of Rockford, IL and Willem Speltz of Rockford, IL; his great grandchildren, Bauer Speltz of Missoula, MT and Emerson Verlanic of Missoula, MT; and his sisters, Joan Lampe, Nancy Frommelt, Bonnie Stender and Sharon Lochner (Gerald). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Centralia-Peosta Volunteer Ambulance Services and Hospice of Dubuque.
