She was predeceased by: her parents, John Lange and Cecilia Lange (Roediger); her husband Ray; her sisters, Rita Knabel and Lou Schmalz; and her grandchildren, Lisa Knabel and Christian Elvekrog.
She is survived by: her children, Nancy Elvekrog (John), Dr. Mark Knabel (Mary) and John Knabel (Janet); her siblings, Martin, Father John, Carl Lange and Phyllis Blichmann; her grandchildren, Liz Johnson (Eric), Dr. Peter Knabel (Hillarey), Anne Knabel, Dr. Daniel Knabel (Jacquelyn), Dr. Michael Knabel (Grace), Dr. Benjamin Knabel (Kelsey), Jacob Knabel and Dr. Matthew Knabel (Nicole); and her great grandchildren, Theodore Johnson, Lorelei, James, Lucy, Zoe, Sophia, Millie, Montez and Henry Knabel.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established at the Dubuque Arboretum and Mount Pleasant Home of Dubuque.
