He was predeceased by: his mother Dorothy Hughes (Hoffmann); and his sister-in-law Lori Hughes. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Carlin; his children, Ryan Swanson (Allison), Brittney, Allison and Lucas Hughes; his grandchildren, Raylee and Calvin Swanson; his father Hubert "Hub" Hughes; and his siblings, Christy Kunz (Gary), Cindy Hughes, Kathy Bierman (Kevin), Mike Hughes (Beth), Mary Stevenson (Terry), Tom Hughes (Tracy), Teresa Cahill (Craig), Jean Bowen (Steve) and Jim Hughes (Kelli). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
