He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Murphy and Bridget Murphy (O'Brien); his siblings, William "Bill" Murphy (Margit), Mary Murphy and Dennis (Murphy); his nephew Matthew Murphy; and also Nolan Meyer.
He is survived by: his sister Kathy Carney (Bob) of Clear Lake; and his nieces and nephews, Peter Murphy (Peg), Patrick Murphy (Jan), Mary Heinrich (Kurt), Kevin Carney (Kari), Erin Meyer (Chris), Bridget Lemker (Brad) and Courtney Matt (Gary). He is also survived by numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, and many cousins.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to St. Ambrose Cathedral Church or a charity of your choice.
