With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Shirley J. Schafnit of Davenport, Iowa, born in Muscatine, Iowa, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Geertz and Hazel McIntire Geertz; her husband Ronald Schafnit; her son Daniel Schafnit; and her brother Kenneth Geertz.
She is survived by: her son Mark Schafnit; and her grandson James Schafnit. She is also survived by niece, a nephew and many cousins.
Memorials may be made in care of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Davenport, Putnam Museum Guild or the Humane Society of Scott County.
