It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard James Bloomer of Davenport, Iowa, born in Los Angeles, California, who passed away on May 11, 2024, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick B. Bloomer and Dorothy L Bloomer (Robbins); his wife Evelyn; and his son William D. "Bill" Bloomer. He is survived by: his children, Barbara Lecompte of Chicago, Karen Black of Bozeman, MT, James Bloomer (Kim) of Bettendorf and Keith Bloomer (Deb) of Davenport; his grandchildren, Haylie Wisemiller (Tash), Derek Black and Erica Sethi (Preet); his great grandchildren, Neil, Evan Sethi, Sophia, Claire and Miles Wisemiller; and his siblings, Shirley Anderson and Bob Bloomer (Edith Koehn). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
