He is survived by: his parents, Arthur O. and Thyra L. Fletcher Herman; his spouse Carolyn E. Shipley; his children, Michael Herman of Rock Island, John Herman (Chris) of Mount Pleasant, IA, Joni Herman of Danville, IA, Jan Lockhart (Jim) of Phoenix, AZ, Amanda Puffinbarger (Shawn) of New London, IA and Susan Herman of Iowa City, IA; his grandchildren, Joshua Siefken, Ashley Conne (Dave), Brieanne Culler, Bryton Culler, Adam Herman (Erin), Jacob Herman (Kara), Jenna Cargill (Garrett), Aubrey Kramer (Chris), Tanner Earp, Allisa Puffinbarger, Xzavier Herman, Tavian Herman and Trevon Herman; and his sister Linda Muir (Vancel) of Burlington. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
