We are sad to announce that on December 24, 2023, at the age of 99, Walter Sherman of Council Bluffs, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Edward and Lillian Sherman (Furler); his wife Joann Pursell; his siblings, Irene Mize and Bob Sherman; and his sisters-in-law, Cleo Hall (LeRoy), Rosemary McNeil (Jack) and Patricia Rhoades.
He is survived by: his children, Cindy Sherman (Mark Stretz) of Bellevue, Kathy Batie (Eric) of Council Bluffs and John Sherman (JoAnn) of Papillion, Nebraska; and his brother-in-law Bob Rhoades of Evansville, Indiana. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson.
