He was predeceased by: his parents, Earnest Petty and Izola Petty (Lane); and his brother E. Edward "Ed" Petty. He is survived by: his children, Barbara Rasmusen (Larry), Sandra Behrendsen (Jeff), Tracy McKinney (Jeff) and Emily Petty; his brothers, Nelson "Clem" Petty (Delores) and Robert "David" Petty; and his sister-in-law Karen Petty. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
