She was predeceased by: her parents, Vilis R. Branson and Frances Louise Smith; her husband John Edwin; and her children, James Coder and Julia Atkins.
She is survived by: her children, Jeffrey Coder, John Coder and Jeanne Coder; and her grandchildren, Jessica Coder, Raeanne Coder, Joseph Coder, Charlie Atkins and Jennifer Coder. She is also survived by three great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Iowa City Community Band.
